Respect in Sport

This is a MANDATORY course for one parent or guardian of all athletes under the age of 18. Details and link to the course.

The Respect in Sport parent program takes approximately one hour to complete and does not have to be completed in one sitting. The course costs $12 plus applicable taxes and is valid for four years. You may use an existing RIS certification number you have received one through another sport such as hockey or soccer, provided that it is still valid.

How to Register

Before you step onto the pitch for games or for training, you MUST be registered in the current season.

Navigate to Rugby Canada and choose Alberta. Scroll to find the Club with which you want to register. Registration is online only, and payment is by credit card.

For full season membership – registration is valid from date of purchase until April 30 of the following year.

Temporary registrations (72hr, 2wks) are valid from the date of purchase for the time period specified.

The Edmonton Rugby Union is located within the territories of Treaty 6, 7, and 8 as well as the Métis settlements and six regions of the Métis nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We acknowledge and are grateful that rugby throughout all of the Edmonton Rugby Union happens on the traditional meeting grounds, gathering places, and travelling routes of the Nehiyawak, Dene, Nakota Sioux, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi, Tsuu Tina, and Iyarhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda). We honour and thank all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have lived, played, gathered, and whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries past and will forever more.
