MAY 11 MATCHES CANCELLED

We regret to inform you that ALL SENIOR MATCHES (Alberta Cup, Alberta Women’s Premier, ERU Men’s and ERU Women’s) scheduled to take place in the Edmonton area on May 11 2024 have been postponed due to concerns regarding air quality. The decision to postpone the match has been made in accordance with Rugby Alberta’s air quality policy, which prioritizes the health and safety of all players, coaches, and officials.

The Edmonton Rugby Union is located within the territories of Treaty 6, 7, and 8 as well as the Métis settlements and six regions of the Métis nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We acknowledge and are grateful that rugby throughout all of the Edmonton Rugby Union happens on the traditional meeting grounds, gathering places, and travelling routes of the Nehiyawak, Dene, Nakota Sioux, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi, Tsuu Tina, and Iyarhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda). We honour and thank all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have lived, played, gathered, and whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries past and will forever more.
