U11: Under Ages 11 & 12

For players aged 11 and 12, the U11 Age Grade Law Variations provide a framework that enhances skill development and introduces more complex game strategies. This age group allows athletes to participate in competitive matches while continuing to focus on fair play and respect for teammates and opponents. The U11 variations are designed to cultivate a passion for rugby and foster a sense of belonging within the team.

The Edmonton Rugby Union is located within the territories of Treaty 6, 7, and 8 as well as the Métis settlements and six regions of the Métis nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. We acknowledge and are grateful that rugby throughout all of the Edmonton Rugby Union happens on the traditional meeting grounds, gathering places, and travelling routes of the Nehiyawak, Dene, Nakota Sioux, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi, Tsuu Tina, and Iyarhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda). We honour and thank all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who have lived, played, gathered, and whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries past and will forever more.
